Meet Dr. Daniel Huffmire: The Vision Behind Trueform Dental

Ten years into a career he genuinely loves, Dr. Daniel Huffmire is doing something most dentists only talk about: slowing down. With the opening of Trueform Dental in Temecula, he's building a practice from the ground up around a philosophy that puts patients first, preserves more of what's naturally theirs, and delivers a level of care and hospitality that exceeds expectations at every visit.

A Path Rooted in Passion

Dr. Huffmire's connection to dentistry started at home. His mom had worked as a dental assistant before starting a family, and the visits she arranged with her former dentist left a lasting impression on him growing up. Years later, while weighing career options in college, he took an introductory dentistry course, started shadowing, and quickly realized it checked every box: a healthcare field, hands-on work, and technology that kept evolving.

Before dental school, Dr. Huffmire earned a bachelor's degree in Chemistry and spent two years working as an analytical chemist at a nutraceutical company. He then completed a Master's in Medical Science, followed by dental school and a General Practice Residency at LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Since entering practice, he has also completed a mastership course in biomimetic dentistry, an area that now shapes the core of his clinical philosophy.

What Biomimetic Dentistry Means for You

At the heart of Trueform Dental is a commitment to minimally invasive care. Dr. Huffmire practices biomimetic dentistry, an approach focused on preserving as much healthy tooth structure and pulp as possible rather than removing more than necessary. In practice, that often means using inlays, onlays, and overlays instead of traditional crowns, keeping more of your natural tooth intact while still delivering strong, lasting results.

Dr. Huffmire wants to be known for thorough exams and thoughtful treatment that helps patients hold onto their teeth longer. For him, the best dental work is the kind that works with your tooth's natural biology, not against it.

A Practice Built Around the Patient Experience

Trueform Dental isn't just built around great clinical care. It's built around the entire experience. Dr. Huffmire founded this practice because he wanted to step away from high-volume dentistry and focus on what actually matters: understanding each patient's needs, communicating clearly, and making treatment decisions that are genuinely in their best interest.

The office is designed with patient comfort in mind at every turn. Each operatory features a TV above the chair for streaming movies and shows, and the reception area includes a welcoming beverage station and TV to help patients settle in before their appointment. Cleanings are performed using Guided Biofilm Therapy, or GBT, a more comfortable and efficient alternative to traditional cleaning methods that Dr. Huffmire is proud to offer from day one.

Services at Trueform Dental

Trueform Dental offers a comprehensive range of dental services for patients throughout Temecula and the surrounding areas, including Murrieta, Menifee, and Oceanside. The practice also offers an in-house membership plan for patients without traditional dental insurance, making it easier to stay consistent with care year after year.
